Shambhala Sadhana Community Practice
“Recognizing this goodness even for a moment reveals inconceivable wisdom”
Full Moon Shambhala Sadhana Gatherings
Meditation - Conversation - Food
Open to all Members and Members' Families
Please bring a copy of the sadhana if you have one.
The Shambhala Sadhana is a chanting and visualization practice written by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche just prior to the conclusion of a year long retreat. The Sakyong composed this text to deepen our personal and social connection with basic goodness. The Shambhala Sadhana powerfully and simply communicates the essence of basic goodness and enlightened society.
The Sakyong has requested that we gather on full moons as a community and practice the Shambhala Sadhana. These full moon gatherings are specifically meant for Shambhala members and their families. As a society, this is an opportunity for us practice together and have conversation and food in order to foster experiences of basic goodness personally and as a community.
Those who have not received the Shambhala Sadhana at Enlightened Society Assembly may participate in these Full Moon gatherings but may not join other Shambhala Sadhana practice sessions or do the sadhana on their own.
