How can our Shambhala region embody our teachings on enlightened society? How do we practice sacred community in our centers and households? How do we explore an alternative social paradigm in these challenging times? How can we be generous and expansive in our communal vision?

ESA Berkeley Group Shot

—Enlightened Society Assembly took place this summer in Berkeley.

Please join our Regional Shambhala leadership for a day of enlightened society as we practice the Shambhala Sadhana, hear fresh teachings from our senior teachers, re-orient our view of what Shambhala can be, and explore together as a community using open space technology. All Shambhala members, students, families and children are welcome.

Families and Children are Welcome
The children's program will run concurrently with the Shambhala Sadhana and morning session. This program will offer play and activities which help children connect with their own and others' basic goodness. Older children and teens may find a strong connection to the sadhana practice and are welcomed and encouraged to join the practice. Younger children are welcome to be in the children's program, or with parents during practice (or some of both). There will also be a children's space in the afternoon for those who do not wish to join the adults. Children and teens will be invited to participate in Open Space Technology. The children's group will host a session during the breakouts. We will all join together for the reception.
