    About the program

Actress and writer Liz Richardson will be reading a few scenes from her new work-in-progress during her upcoming visit to Berkeley with husband Acharya Richard John. The play, with the working title "Execution of a Bodhisattva," is inspired by the true story of a young man on death row who transformed his life through art and Buddhist meditation. Liz will perform monologues as four diverse characters who were deeply connected to his life.

Many Bay Area friends will recall Liz's readings in Berkeley and Davis several years ago when she was developing her one-woman show, "Going On." She subsequently performed this acclaimed show at venues including Mexico, Halifax, Seattle, and upstate New York.

This event is informal and everyone is welcome to attend, ask questions and give feedback. There will be a light reception.
